The only issue I had was a conflict with my Spanish 201 class, so I’m taking the opportunity to start German! Hopefully my spanish skills won’t dissolve in one semester if I keep reading and listening on my own.

Prohibiting abortion is NOT the way to solve this hypothetical problem.  I agree that aborting a fetus exclusively because the pregnant person thinks it’s a girl is sexist - but I still support that person’s right to abort the fetus.  Ending sexism and the devaluation of women is the way to solve the problem - re-entrenching sexism by preventing people from accessing a medical procedure disproportionately needed by women isn’t going to help in the slightest.

PLUS if we weren’t so damn cissexist it wouldn’t even be possible to abort fetuses based on what we determine their gender to be.  I think that challenging two ideas at once - first, the idea that women and girls are “less” than boys and men, and second, the idea that a person’s chromosomes or genitals have any causal relationship to their gender - is a much more constructive way to address the OP’s “concerns.”
